Beard

Our movable Beard attachments allow the artist to change the instrument’s volume, tone, and feel while playing. This concept is adapted from pipe organ design, altering the flow of entrained air into the air jet. The beard increases volume, projection, and bulks up the sound. By creating a movable beard the artist is able to fine tune the amount of alteration to the sound and feel. Each design produces unique characteristics and different effects the further they are pushed over the window opening.
